Stand League issued a terse article on November 11, 2020 labeled “For Immediate Release” crafted to lead the reader to believe Scientology has fallen victim to another bigoted hate crime.
Opening dramatically with the announcement that one of their buildings had sustained damage the author writes, “At 4 a.m. on November 11, an unidentified man threw a chain through the window of the Church of Scientology Sacramento on 6th Street in a haunting reminder of the real-world consequences of discrimination and hate.”
The piece, entitled “Hate Breeds Violence” was quick to create an implied connection to Leah Remini and Mike Rinder, “Extremists can take many forms—from gun-toting white supremacists to fanatics like Leah Remini and Mike Rinder, whose target is religious minorities. But regardless of the form, the end result is the same: violence and hate.”
As with the majority of Scientology’s tales, this one has apparently grown with the telling, incorporating Rinder and Remini into something they have absolutely nothing to do with.
Filing a Public Records Request with the Sacramento Police Department resulted in discovering that the responding officers list this incident as vandalism, not a hate crime. Since the perpetrator of the offense has not yet been identified there is no way that Scientology could possibly know the motivation behind this act of vandalism.
Random crimes happen all over the country without having bigotry as the driving force behind them. Without a suspect, Scientology has absolutely nothing whatsoever to base their accusation of discrimination, bigotry and hate on.
They are lying.
As usual.
Whoever wrote this bit of fiction (Edward Parkin? Bari Berger?) has done nothing but take a simple, random act of petty vandalism and forced it into their own false narrative in order to take yet another cheap shot at Leah Remini and Mike Rinder.
From the information released, it appears the case is still open. The vandal has not been caught, therefore he or she has not been questioned as to why they tossed a chain through the window.
This in itself causes one to question the situation. Scientology notoriously covers their properties with security and surveillance rivaling Fort Knox. How was a person carrying a long chain at 4 am able to fling it through an upper window without being caught on one of the many security cameras that are mounted on every corner of the building?
As long as wild theories are being thrown about, how about the idea that Scientology broke their own window just to create a situation they could blame Rinder and Remini for? This theory is much more reasonable considering the fake whistleblower video COS fabricated to try and make Leah Remini look bad.
Breaking a window is a crime and it is hoped the suspect (if there is one) is found and charged, however libeling innocent people is also a crime.
As Scientology squeals in outrage over their shattered window one cannot but help note the hypocrisy in this situation. Windows can easily be replaced, especially when one has millions of tax free dollars readily at hand. The reputations, livelihoods, families and relationships that this cult shatters with their intolerance, lies and hate are much, much harder to repair.
When will Scientology face justice for their crimes?

The incident is really a cry for help from yet another cheated former customer. It translates roughly to “but you promised me that I could keep my family and get a refund!”

Also why are they crying about being a targeted “minority?” They claimed a membership of 15 million as early as 1970 when talking to the NYT as well as the author of “Scientology The Now Religion.”
For the last few years they’ve been claiming to have grown faster in one decade than in their entire history before. By their own telling (also taking into account the incredible size claimed for their charitable organizations) they should be rivaling the size of some mainline church denominations by now.Minority, my foot!
