What Can I do To Help?

To quote the late comedian Joan Rivers, “Can we talk?”

I recently had the amazing privilege of being a guest of Leah Remini and Mike Rinder on their podcast. From that experience I have had so many people ask me “what can I do to help?”

Over the years there have been multiple petitions created in an attempt to have Scientology’s tax exemption revoked. Most of the time interest starts out strong then, inevitably, each one slowly fades away.

In my interview with Leah and Mike I stated that in my opinion the best weapon we have is the Never In community. Scientology counts on them to accept their false public face, to believe that they really aren’t that bad.

According to policy Scientology has convinced religious activists, politicians and some in the media to side with, support and defend them.

The fact is that Scientology is a cult.

Scientology is a greedy, tax free conglomerate who uses its members as tools to generate revenue all while committing the worst abuses, financial fraud and human rights violations.

So many have asked “what can I do to help bring Scientology down?”

There is only one way.

Speak.

We can make a difference but only if we shake off apathy and indifference and stand together.

Frankly, I cannot do this by myself and I am asking each of you to please help me.

Never Ins are a far larger community than Scientology’s membership. We have the numbers.

We have the voices.

I have created a petition on the White House’s official petition page.

Now the clock is ticking.

If we can get 100,000 signatures in the next 30 days The White House will respond to the petition and at least, finally, look at our request.

“Once the petition reaches the required threshold, it will be put in a queue to be reviewed by the White House. Others can still sign the petition while it is awaiting a response. When the White House responds, everyone who has signed the petition will get email from the White House to let you know that we’ve reviewed and responded to the petition.”

I believe that there are enough people out there to make this happen.

Leah Remini has over 600k followers on Twitter alone, Mike Rinder has almost 95k.

If we want to see justice and accountability then it is up to us to make it happen. Scientology has grown accustomed to traipsing through the world bullying and destroying anyone in its path.

We can stop them.

We can.

Please.

Do this for Mary Kahn, Leah Remini, Mike Rinder, Amy Scobee, The Headleys, Aaron Smith-Levin and for every guest who shared their pain with us on The Aftermath.

Do this for every single child now trapped in a cult who teaches them anything bad that happens to them is their fault.

Do this for all of those lost souls who have committed suicide or who have lost their lives because of the fake, useless teachings of L. Ron Hubbard.
