Scientology is not a religion but can one believe Hubbard’s claim that he was an anti Christ?
Catholic Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen may have proven that Hubbard was telling the truth.
Brilliant both spiritually and intellectually, Sheen held two hard earned doctorates; one in Philosophy and the other in Sacred Theology.
Doctorates that were, unlike those claimed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, real.
In light of the struggles facing the Catholic Church today, Archbishop Fulton Sheen’s words during his conference The Devil and the Diabolical showed a prophetic gift.
During this lecture, as Sheen discussed the three temptations of Christ he predicted that in the coming years The Church would also face the same temptation; the idea that theology is politics.
“…But in any case, it was the third temptation of Our Blessed Lord not to be concerned with the Divine but to be concerned only with the social and political order.”
Fulton Sheen expounded on this theme, the politicizing and secularism of the Spiritual, in more than one of his conferences. Sheen’s descriptions showed prescient insight into what was coming for The Church; a devolution from the spiritual to the worldly.
His words also reached further into society, predicting the erasure of the line between religion and cult.
In a sermon given in 1947, a mere 3 years before the publishing of Dianetics, Fulton J. Sheen said, “The second great truth to which the signs of the times portend is that we are definitely at the end of a non-religious era of civilization, which regarded religion as an addendum to life, a pious extra, a morale-builder for the individual but of no social relevance, an ambulance that took care of the wrecks of the social order until science reached a point where there would be no more wrecks; which called on God only as a defender of national ideals, or as a silent partner whose name was used by the firm to give respectability but who had nothing to say about how the business should be run.”
The end era to which Sheen referred had no stop date.
Given that the description so eerily encompasses the very essence of Scientology one might rightly assume that such an era is still slogging along towards its natural conclusion. Scientology’s membership is in the decline, it’s popularity wanes as it’s truth becomes harder and harder to hide.
L. Ron Hubbard took upon himself the mantle of an anti Christ.

Also mentioned is a brief period of time in which the arch-enemy of Christ, referred to as the anti-Christ, will reign and his opinions will have sway … this anti-Christ represents the forces of Lucifer (literally, the ‘light-bearer’ or ‘light-bringer’), Lucifer being a mythical representation of the forces of enlightenment…. Archbishop Sheen noted that the image of a horned demon, red skinned and pointy tailed was not how Satan would appear to the world.
“…and certainly no devil we have ever seen in picture books could deceive even the elect. How will he come in this new age to win followers to his religion?”
Sheen answers this with 12 identifying characteristics.
• He will come disguised as the Great Humanitarian; he will talk peace, prosperity, and plenty, not as means to lead us to God, but as ends in themselves.
• He will write books on the new idea of God to suit the way people live. [He will] induce faith in astrology so as to make not the will but the stars responsible for our sins.
• He will explain guilt away psychologically as repressed sex, make men shrink in shame if their fellowmen say they are not broadminded and liberal.
• He will identify tolerance with indifference to right and wrong.
• He will foster more divorces under the disguise that another partner is “vital.” He will increase love for love and decrease love for persons.
• He will invoke religion to destroy religion.
• He will even speak of Christ and say that he was the greatest man who ever lived.
• His mission, he will say, will be to liberate men from the servitudes of superstition and Fascism, which he will never define.
• In the midst of all his seeming love for humanity and his glib talk of freedom and equality, he will have one great secret which he will tell to no one; he will not believe in God. And because his religion will be brotherhood without the fatherhood of God, he will deceive even the elect.
• He will set up a counter-Church, which will be the ape of the Church because, he the devil, is the ape of God. It will be the mystical body of the anti-Christ that will in all externals resemble the Church as the mystical body of Christ. In desperate need for God, he will induce modern man, in his loneliness and frustration, to hunger more and more for membership in his community that will give man enlargement of purpose, without any need of personal amendment and without the admission of personal guilt. These are days in which the devil has been given a particularly long rope.
L. Ron Hubbard pathologically lied about every aspect of his life, but when held against this framework one thing cannot be ignored; his self-proclaimed anti Christ mission was real.
Even if his “church” is not.

You firmly announce here that Sheen “worked to make the Catholic Church a safe haven for pedophiles”. There is NO evidence that your statement is true. In fact, it’s laughably hypocritical that you choose to cite Matano at all. This is the same Bishop who, when faced with dozens of lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct by priests, promptly filed for bankruptcy to circumvent the victims receiving justice.

Before Rochester Bishop Salvatore Matano was in Providence, Rhode Island. As head of the state’s Roman Catholic diocese since 2005, Mantano, according to court documents, helped a Rhode Island priest accused of fondling boys find another parish assignment.
As for Venerable Fulton Sheen; “Some have claimed that Sheen gave Guli an assignment in the Diocese of Rochester, despite the 1963 allegation against him, Kruse said, and that Bishop Matano was concerned the NY attorney general would identify this issue in any report or announcement. But Kruse said that Sheen never assigned Guli to ministry, and reiterated in his op-ed that the case was thoroughly vetted and “Sheen did nothing wrong.”
Kruse also mentioned the case of another former priest, John Gormley, who abused youth in 1969 and whom Sheen immediately removed from ministry when the abuse was reported. Gormley later left the priesthood and again, Kruse says, it was determined that “Sheen did nothing wrong.”

Finally, your claim of protecting pedophiles is also off the mark. There is no allegation against Sheen that includes children.

Sheen was in an administrative position in an organization that institutionalized pedophilia – the Catholic Church. That global criminal conspiracy is only now being prosecuted by law enforcement in a few states. Already multiple convictions have been obtained, 100s of millions have been paid to its victims, and there will be many more. And you, Stefani, will continue to support and defend them.
Sheen certainly never exposed or denounced this institutionalized pedophilia, and certainly knew about it from his position. The idea that you would take the word of any Catholic priest who was part of this global, institutionalized criminal conspiracy says all we need to know about you and your blind loyalty to an organization that has seen dozens, if not hundreds, of its criminal pedophiles and rapists employees sent to prison.
Unbelievable that you would spend any of your time crusading against any other organization than your own. But that’s a Catholic for you – fanatical crusaders (literally) on every belief system not their own: To the point of hundreds of years of torturing and killing and burning them alive.

Interesting that you presume to attack me for NOT “crusading” against Catholicism all while at the exact same time you attack Mike Rinder FOR crusading against Scientology. No one does enough for you, no one meets your expectations. We all fall short no matter what we do.
Evil is as much the working against those who at least try and create change for good as it is in doing nothing at all; both things you do with alacrity.

There was a time when your empty, jealous bullying made me angry but now all I really feel is pity. Hey mate, long time no see. Firstly the Catholic Church has worked on dealing with a past issues. It owned what had happened – with punishment and payment. Knowledgement is the difference between catholics and Scientologist. While Catholic people have been allowed to question and challenge there churches without repercussions – Scientologist don’t have the same rights. Scientology is under fire and questions about abuses and rape are being spoken about daily. You hide behind and defend an ideology That dismisses you and like many other late cut you off after taking your money. Stef in all her writings has thought and consideration to all. So to try and say she is defending pedos. When you yourself protects and defends an organisation who has had its hand in rape, Paedophilia and even sadly to cause of many to take there lives. There are thousands of good, faithful, outraged Catholics who are standing up and speaking out. Thousands of us who rally together to protest the corruption and support the good priests who have been sidelined by corrupt, evil bishops. I “stay” because Catholicism is NOT the leadership. My spirituality, a concept you know nothing of, transcends the politicized, sinful men who hold the power. I am loyal to GOD. Again something you know nothing of. Neither God nor loyalty. I am one of many in the Church who are angry and saddened by the betrayal of those Shepherds who are supposed to be leading us towards holiness. There must be an accounting, both in this life and in the next for the evil done in God’s name. I, like so many, intend to remain faithful to the doctrine, Sacraments and beliefs that are stronger than the corruption. Unlike Scientology my faith is based upon Truth and I will not abandon God because of the evil actions of men.

Kyle Brennan was found dead from a 357 magnum in his Scientologist father’s apartment. Kyle’s father is Tom Brennan, Denise Miscavige’s personal assistant. Denise Miscavige is David Miscavige’s twin sister. 14 pieces of evidence were wiped clean of blood and fingerprints at the crime scene.
Do you not know who Kyle Brennan was? His death was ruled a suicide even tho multiple law enforcement personnel said none of the evidence points to suicide.
Ken Ogger was found at the bottom of his mother’s pool with his wrists tied together with wire, and a concrete block tied to his ankles. He was a major “squirrel” who had written and published a version of the whole Scientology Bridge in laymen’s terms to get around their copyrights. His death was ruled a suicide.
Flo Barnett was David Miscavige’s mother in law. Her body was found with 3 bullet wounds to her chest and one to her head, with a rifle. Her death was ruled a suicide.
These are highly likely scientology murders made to look like suicide which quite seem to implicate David Miscavige directly.
How am I protecting the Church of Scientology, exactly?
