Another “Award” Bites the Dust

Celebrating Hubbard’s birthday and what David Miscavige is calling “epic expansion”, Scientology held another event meant to bolster the masses.

As part of his speech, David Miscavige decided to enumerate some newly acquired awards to his unsuspecting audience.

First on his list; “From the State of Washington, a proclamation and flag flown over the capitol building commemorating 100 years since Mr. Hubbard launched his Boy Scout career in Tacoma.”

According to Scientology L. Ron Hubbard has the singular distinction of being the youngest Boy Scout ever to achieve Eagle Scout status.

We reached out to Mike Faulk, Deputy Communications Director/Press Secretary for the Office of Governor Jay Inslee in the State of Washington.

Faulk was unable to locate any award to Hubbard or Scientology by the Governor so he referred us to Derrick Nunnally, Deputy Director of External Affairs
Office of the Secretary of State who was able to give us the details surrounding the recognition.

Miscavige bought it for $40.30.

Nunnally reported; “office records indicate that Friends of L. Ron Hubbard purchased a 4’x6’ state flag from the SOS online store on Jan. 6, 2023, for $40.30. I understand a presentation was made for Boy Scouts of the flag and a document certifying that the flag had been flown over the State Capitol.

Thus David Miscavige once again lied to his followers and we’ve busted him.

The State of Washington did not award L. Ron Hubbard anything.

As for the claim that Hubbard is the youngest ever Eagle Scout, Mike Faulk searched the state archives out of curiosity and discovered that even here Hubbard was wrong.

In fact, L. Ron Hubbard cannot even lay claim to being in the top three.

June 29th, 1948, Robert A. Beaver became the youngest person to ever earn the rank of Eagle Scout in BSA history at just 8 years old.

According to the April 1921 edition of The Oklahoman; “Victor Holt Jr. of Troop 20, 12 years old, was advanced to Eagle scout and will be initiated into the fraternity Tuesday…”

So there you have it.

A purchased commendation to accompany a phony achievement.

Miscavige described the event as “…an evening that could best be described as Electric … Exuberant … Utterly Exhilarating

Utterly deceptive.

Exactly what one would expect from the most ethical religion on the planet.

Scientology lies.
